Your mental health is very important and you have to look after it. Unfortunately, certain aspects of life can have a huge impact on your mental health. Confidence and self-esteem can bring you down in an instant. If you think you aren’t good enough then this can cause a downward spiral for both you and your mental health.

If you are having a bad hair day then this can bring you down. There can be a lot of pressure on the way you look but fear not it’s just hair. You might be having a bad hair day today but it won’t last forever. There are many things you can do to fix your hair if you don’t like how it is. There is dry shampoo, a spritz of this on the roots can instantly boost your hair back to life. It can be bad to wash your hair every day so using dry shampoo can keep your locks looking beautiful between washes. 

If you are still struggling then why not treat yourself to a trip to the hairdressers. They can completely transform your look by giving you a new style. You could be bold and change the length and add some color to it as well. You will leave the salon with a boost in confidence and feeling like a new woman. 

Teeth

Your smile can be the first thing people see, and if you don’t like your smile or your teeth then you might not smile often. This isn’t good for you at all, smiling brings many benefits to you, your body, and your mental health. Smiling can lower stress and anxiety levels as it sends messages to the brain and hormones are released to make you happy. 

If you don’t like your teeth then you could try a whitening toothpaste, this will bring them a shade or two whiter. You could also take a trip to the dentist and they can see what they can do for your smile. It may be a case of having too many teeth that overlap, this can be easily rectified using braces. 

Diet

If you lead an unhealthy lifestyle then it can have many implications on your body and your mental health. You might see yourself as being too big, although others may view you as beautiful. Certain food groups can make you feel anxious or down, so you need to be sure you are consuming the right foods. You may be unsure of what you should be eating, as there are so many mixed messages out there. You could consult the help of a nutritionist, they will advise on the best foods to eat and how much of each to eat. 

Wardrobe

Finally, you might not be feeling confident in your clothes anymore. This could be due to weight gain, weight loss, or you may have had a baby which has changed the shape of your body. This is fine and can be solved by a lovely shopping trip. You might be feeling self-conscious but when you find the clothes you were meant to be in that will all disappear. If you don’t feel confident going alone you could make a girly day out of it. All go shopping to ease the stress you are feeling.
